Eric Wang, PhD

Post-Doctoral Fellow

Eric received his PhD in biomedical sciences from the University of California – San Francisco in 2015, under the supervision of Prof. Scott Oakes.  During his PhD, he worked on two projects involving cell death:  determining the role of apoptosis in embryonic stem cell differentiation, and studying how a small molecule inhibitor of the unfolded protein response effector IRE1α could prevent endoplasmic stress-induced retinal degeneration.  Eric joined the Gray lab in 2015 as a postdoctoral research fellow and is interested in using small molecules to enhance the immune response against tumors.
